Seguridad laboral en instalaciones bomberiles: evaluación de riesgos y medidas de control en el Cuerpo de Bomberos del cantón La Maná

Resumen

El estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar las condiciones de seguridad laboral del edificio del Cuerpo de Bomberos del cantón La Maná y formular medidas de control según la jerarquía preventiva. Se planteó una investigación aplicada, cuantitativa, no experimental, transversal, descriptivo-evaluativa y de campo. El diseño del estudio incluyó un censo de 32 trabajadores, una inspección de nueve áreas mediante una lista de 72 requisitos, una matriz de riesgos de 5 × 5 y un cuestionario de 30 ítems. La lista y el cuestionario alcanzaron valores V de Aiken de 0,94 y 0,92; la confiabilidad global del cuestionario fue α = 0,91. El cumplimiento general fue de 63,9 %. Se identificaron 38 peligros: 13,2 % críticos, 28,9 % altos, 36,8 % moderados y 21,1 % bajos. Las mayores brechas se localizaron en control de incendios, instalaciones eléctricas, almacenamiento de equipos contaminados, señalización y preparación para emergencias. El clima de seguridad obtuvo 68,4/100 y se relacionó inversamente con la percepción de riesgo (rho = −0,61; p < 0,001). Se propone un programa de control con acciones de ingeniería, administrativas, de capacitación y seguimiento. El análisis planteado muestra que una evaluación integrada de infraestructura, cumplimiento normativo y percepción del personal permite priorizar intervenciones verificables y asignar responsabilidades institucionales.
